Abstract

The research proposes guidelines that incorporate the design configuration and solid wood furniture planning traded in the metropolitan region of Manaus with aim of improving the quality of products. They were identified the main problems involving the marketing of these products through a data collection qualitative and quantitative near shops and in furniture workshops, collecting data about the logistics, planning, setting products, raw material and structure at furniture workshops, resulting in the development of new goods. The data had been grouped into a table for assisting in organizing criteria as the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to a SWOT analysis, providing an indicator of market for solid wood furniture. These one had been equated in Quality Function Deployment - QFD matrix to convert consumer needs in technical parameters, considering the preliminary design and checking how you can improve it before the product or service had been tested, so these indicators showed which features must be prioritized during the planning and configuration of solid wood furniture for region
