As transformações do trabalho docente na Universidade Federal do Amazonas: da produção ao produtivismo na pós-graduação

Abstract

The study has the general objective analysis of the transformations of the teaching work at the Federal University of Amazonas, from the Graduate courses. Its specific objectives are: to identify the routine of academic work of UFAM of teachers who work in graduate school, know the working conditions of teachers and determine the production and productivism in teaching. Therefore, a field research in the framework of the Graduate Programs Humanities was held, Applied Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary totaling 10 courses. The study subjects were 10 teachers of the permanent staff with over 10 years of institutional work. Questionnaires were used with open and closed questions for all representatives of each course. The survey shows that all teachers working in undergraduate and postgraduate, masters and doctorates. And that most of them take work home to be able to meet with all your routine tasks, besides being part of the university administrative boards. The study shows that with respect to production and productivism, there is an appreciation of quantity over quality in the production of articles, even though the publication one of the teaching assignments, they have been led to a production almost mandatory, because of CAPES evaluation to graduate programs, which should have a significant production to keep their scores with the evaluative body, which has contributed to the intensification of teaching, according to the opinion of the same. The survey points out that the Graduate intensified teachers' work, particularly demanding scientific production. The study shows that because of the little state investment in federal universities, it has confirmed that the teachers start to compete for tenders in development agencies, in order to raise funds for their research, which takes time and wear on teaching
