Resumo
Understanding the phenomenon of sexual violence against children and adolescents is a key factor to deal with it. This research allowed us to identify the actions developed in the school space to face sexual violence against children and adolescents, through the speech of the managers, and to know the perception of teachers regarding the confrontation of sexual violence against children and adolescents from public schools located in the rural area of the city of Iranduba, Amazonas. This is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach. Semi-structured interviews were used as data collection instruments with two managers as subjects and a focus group with the participation of 19 teachers from two schools. The analysis of the material obtained in the research was carried out through content analysis. Given the whole scenario, we conclude that the actions to combat sexual violence against children and adolescents in the public schools studied are insufficient and partnerships with other institutions are limited. Therefore, the school needs to position itself as an active player in the protection network and develop collective actions, seeking partnerships with other institutions, surrounding communities, families and students, encouraging everyone to face sexual violence. However, this implies investment in the training of its professionals, being aware that working together and articulated guarantees the confrontation of the phenomenon of sexual violence, and the protection of children and adolescents by the school.
