Estudo sobre a gratuidade de serviços de transporte público urbano para pessoas lúpicas em Manaus

Abstract

This research was carried out with the purpose of presenting a field and descriptive study related to the process of liberation of gratuity in urban collective transportation in the City of Manaus to People with Disabilities and chronic pathologies, mediated by the Organic Law of the Municipality of Manaus – LOMAN and By Municipal Decree No. 1,128, of July 29, 2011, which regulates the criteria for the release of gratuity. It was observed that although the benefit of gratuitousness in collective transportation was implemented by the municipal public authorities in an attempt to guarantee an improvement in the quality of life of People with Disabilities (PCDs), there is still a layer of this population that does not has this benefit. It is possible to highlight the patients with lupus pathology, which although it is a chronic inflammatory disease of autoimmune origin, whose symptoms may impair mobility, is not covered by the Decree that regulates gratuity. Thus, this research has as main objective To present a study that points out the possibility of inclusion of the patients with lupus pathology in the group of beneficiaries of gratuitousness in the urban collective transportation system in Manaus.
