Resumo
The contemporary society is a victim of itself, due to the thoughtless choices that it adopts daily and that directly affect its way of life, the high cost of living, the prices of goods of natural origin and more recently, the Covid-19 that must be seen as a biological response of the planet, to the ecological and social emergency that humanity has brought upon itself, from an ecological imbalance, arising from social and economic inequalities. In this way, an epistemological path that will certainly contribute to the solution of such problems involves the development of Ecological Literacy processes that will promote the first steps towards the formation of an ecological, critical, ethical subject that participates in society, committed to the environment not only natural, but social, cultural and historical from the perspective of Fritjof Capra (2020). By this logic, the present research aimed to analyze the conceptions of Natural Science teachers about ecological literacy in times of the Covid-19 pandemic, being carried out in two public elementary schools in the city of Manaus, more specifically with the teachers who teach sciences from 6th to 9th grade of Elementary School. The results show that the teachers initially presented the indicator of Ecological Interdependence and Ecological Literacy Partnership, denoting a need for training processes that can mobilize the construction of other indicators, such as Flexibility, Diversity and Recycling. Despite revealing other issues so important that were not the focus of this research, but that deserve the reflection of scholars as some degree of commitment to mental health that presents other possibilities for future research. The research also presented recommendations regarding the continuity of other research within the theme, which makes this work valuable for reflection.
