A carta a Meneceu (sobre a felicidade) como recurso didático-pedagógico ao ensino de filosofia no nível médio

Resumo

The research uses the main elements of Epicurean ethics, verifying how these elements can help to think and propose strategies and methods to help overcome the reading and writing difficulties experienced during philosophy classes in high school. Under the bias of a bibliographic review of the work of Epicurus de Samos - Letter on Happiness (a Meneceu), it proved possible to propose relevant relationships and their contribution to the teaching of philosophy and to the contemporary ethical debate. Using the Letter on Happiness (Meneceu) as a didactic resource and the methodological proposal of the didactic sequence, it is intended to find out how the Epicurean doctrine can cultivate an interest in philosophy in students, if it can help with reading difficulties, stimulate production of texts and whether the themes proposed by Epicureanism continue to be relevant. An attempt was made to expand proposals for methodological philosophical activities, resuming the study of Epicurean doctrine and its ethical conceptions, with the objective of understanding the Epicurean corpus and its developments and how Epicurus' thought can help to think about strategies for philosophy classes.
