Associação entre atividade física e níveis séricos de 25 (OH) D em crianças e adolescentes: revisão sistemática e meta análise

Resumo

In recent years, the role of Vitamin D has been significant beyond the skeletal correlation of calcium and phosphorus in muscle contraction as well as their immunomodulatory relationship related to obesity. Insufficient levels of Vitamin D are closely related to Diabetes Mellitus and Non-Transmissible Cardiovascular Diseases (NCDs). Findings indicate that the practice of physical activities would stimulate the synthesis of Vitamin D. The benefits of regular and continuous physical activity are well established and irrefutable. Its promotion should be part of routine care for the well-being of children and adolescents. Being physically active since childhood has many benefits, not only in the physical area, but also in the social and emotional spheres, and can lead to better control of non-communicable chronic diseases. However, studies regarding physical activity and 25(OH)D serum levels are scarce and the evidence relating to this issue is still lacking. Objective: To elaborate a systematic review to evaluate the relationship between serum levels of 25 (OH) D and the practice of physical activity in children and adolescents. Material and Methods: MEDLINE/PUBMED, EMBASE, BIREME/LILACS, COCHRANE, SCOPUS, EBSCO were systematically searched, the studies two reviewers independently evaluated the studies, collected the data and assessed the risk of bias, and ranked the evidence for each outcome, the outcomes analyzed were: cardiorespiratory fitness, sun exposure and body mass index Results: the results of 4 cross-sectional studies, with 2253 participants, showed that serum levels of 25 (OH)D in our findings there was a positive trend between serum levels of serum 25(OH)D < 20ng/ML and body mass index this result should be interpreted with caution considering the confidence intervals (RR 1.10 95% CI 0.71 to 1.83. Four studies were identified with high quality of evidence considering 25(OH)D levels and high levels of physical activity required a direct relationship considering (2253 participants) (RR 0.0; 95% CI0.15 to 0.15) ( RR0.59; 95% CI 0.43 to 0.75. The evidence available so far can be seen as indicative of a tendency towards a relationship between serum levels of 25 (OH) D and the practice of physical activity, as this relationship has been demonstrated, given the stimulating effect of the synthesis of 25 (OH) D )D, it has been shown that the relationship between low body mass index and levels of 25(OH)D sufficiency is not based on solid evidence.
