Resumo
The theme of this study is the educative process developed in a childcare center for adolescents in conflict with the Law. The general objective is to analyze the educative process developed in a unities for adolescents in conflict with the law, from their own perspective (adolescents, authors of serious infractions), and from his educators (teachers, pedagogues, psychologists and social workers). As specific objectives, to compare the objectives proposed by the intern regiment of the socioducative unit with the National System Childcare and the opinion from internal and educators; to identify the structural conditions and techniques in the implementation of educational activities offered to adolescents authors of serious infractions, internals in a childcare unit in the state of Amazonas and to analyze the different opinions of distinct people (internal and educators) about the educative process developed in a unities for adolescents authors of serious infractions. The methodological procedures were based in the qualitative methodology, where we used the ethnography study, with prolonged inserting at search’s local, using the observation techniques, individual interviews and focus groups. The subjects of this research were the adolescents and the educators from a childcare center in Manaus. Among the results, we identified an intense influence of punitive and segregationist actions, where the institutional rules prevail over all other aspects, an inadequate physical infrastructure, necessity of technical materials and textbooks. The offer of mainstream education, vocational courses and cultural activities are devalued by the fact that operating without appropriate conditions. We consider very important the need to reflect about the real role of the social unities, wich must to release from repressive and punitive actions, as well as the school has to take a more effective conduct front the educational measures, and responsibilities that should go beyond the simply offer classes, wich, usually, aren’t directed to the institution public or to the educational measures objectives.
