Estado e agronegócio: etnografia de um processo de regularização fundiária e descaracterização de territórios no sul do Amazonas

Abstract

This research sought to carry out an ethnographic and comparative study of territorial dynamics in progress in southern Amazonas. I took as focus of reflection areas that were notable for the incidence of territorial disputes associated with the restructuring of the formal land market. The aim was to analyze the process of transformation of communal lands into private properties through the transformation of territorial statutes. To this end, we examined territorial dynamics related to the Curuquetê Settlement Project, the rio Juma Settlement Project and the Campos Amazonian National Park. The analysis of the so-called "territorial decharacterization process" investigated the relationship between the acts of "state", the process of land expropriation and the re-heating of the land market in the south of Amazonas.
