A cultura amazônica e o sairé de alter do chão como meios para a promoção da educação musical no contexto de uma banda de música da escola pública

Abstract

This investigation presents work involving music education aimed at students at a public basic education school in the interior of the Amazon. Carrying out this study also includes a work of appreciation, performance and creation, involving songs that are part of the Sairé de Alter do Chão, a traditional festival held in a village, district of the city of Santarém, in the State of Pará. The objective was to understand how the songs of the Festa do Sairé can promote musical education in the context of a music band within public schools. Its activities included theoretical and practical classes, with creative processes integrated into the curricular component, where students participated in musical creations and performances aimed at the school's music band. As a result, and product of creativity, eleven compositions were created, based on improvisation activities, where participants were able to explore the sounds of their instrument and create melodic lines according to their engagement, understanding and musical involvement. And finally, a concert was held by the music band, to demonstrate the performance results based on the songs that were part of this work.
