Resumo
The research aimed to understand how memory builds the meanings of being a teacher educator in the Amazon. As well as answering the problem of how memory builds the meanings of being a teacher who trains teachers in the Amazon, linked to the thesis that memory builds the meanings of being a teacher educator in the Amazon. Specifically, the memory of teacher training was articulated to the construction of meanings of being a teacher who trains teachers in the Amazon. Thus, an investigative course was developed to identify, through the narratives that emerge from the memory of teachers, the existence of a spiral of teacher training in the Amazon. The narratives came from interviews recorded in audio and later transcribed and trated. It was possible to highlight the meanings, built by memory, of being a teacher educator in the Amazon based on Paul Ricoeur's Theory of Interpretation, which allowed, as a conclusion, to understand that memory builds the meanings of being a teacher who trains teachers in the Amazon through what is expressed in the teaching discourse as social commitment, ethical responsibility and the process of identity constitution, that emerged as categories of analysis in a circular movement of prefiguration, configuration and refiguration entitled, by Paul Ricoeur, as mimesis (representation) or mimetic process in the composition of the story (plot).
