Resumo
The research carried out with students, regularly enrolled in the 9th year of elementary school II at Arthur Araújo State School, started from the need to verify the possibility of carrying out an artistic/pedagogical activity outside the classroom. This initiative was driven by the lack of an adequate physical structure (Art laboratory) that would allow the production and development of the art creation processes of the students of the aforementioned school. This study aimed to develop, together with elementary school II students, a new way of thinking about teaching art beyond the physical limits of the school, through interactions with urban art. With this, it was intended to develop strategies that would allow the practice of urban interventions (graffiti art, stencil art, installation, among others), strengthening the actions of pedagogical practices outside the classroom, in addition to promoting a rapprochement between community and environment school. The results indicate that it is possible to carry out such activities beyond the school limits, however the strategies and planning need to be clearly defined, as it is a bureaucratic process administratively and pedagogically challenging.
