Resumo

We present in this dissertation the results of research conducted with the students graduating 2005-2007 in the Program of Accelerated Learning, implemented in the city of Manaus in 1998/1999 by the Municipal Department of Education. It aimed to know the core program of Accelerated Learning, proposed by MEC, as the regulatory flux school pupils in the initial grades of elementary school, and their purpose on the quality of learning, as well as understand the relationship of Accelerated Learning Program with international organizations and financing of culture; investigate the Political Pedagogical Project of the Program, its lines, its guidelines, the policy option in design of society and school, which examined issues in this program hosts a policy of inclusion or exclusion; and finally, reflect that the veteran students can be included in the regular education system in terms of quality of learning offered by the Program. Firstly the study was performed from a literature search to primary sources (pedagogical proposal and curriculum of the Program of Accelerated Learning, legal documents - laws Decrees) and secondary sources on the subject of Education, school failure, laws, newspapers and other media that could support the work. The second step took place with visits to the Municipal Secretary of Education in search of documents based implementation of the Program in Manaus and also, in the choice of criteria to select the municipal schools have classes of acceleration, to participate in the research. As one of the main goals of this proposal is to accelerate the student teaching, which provides conditions for the 5th grade, 100 students interviewed are graduates of the program period of 2005-2007 from four public schools distributed in areas north, south, east and west. We believe that not only encourage the student to the series that make it able to attend, which is concerned that this student is able to adapt the network for regular education within one year. This time was essential for the consolidation of the work, showing that the program of acceleration is not getting satisfactory results when it comes to smoothing the flow school as well as the learning of students who participated in this program. The dissertation is organized into three chapters, in addition to the introduction and closing comments.
