Qualidade da água e doenças: uma percepção dos discentes do IFAM/Tefé

Abstract

Water is na essential natural resource for the survival of living being son planet earth, it makes up most of the globe, however, water considered ideal for consumption represents the smallest percentage of this totality and when it is consumed outside the quality standards, it can lead tovariou shealth problems. The diseases caused by water transmissionis a publiche alth problem and it occurs mainly in developing countries. The objective of the present study was to develop a pedagogical guide correlating health and water-borne diseases from the description of students' environmental perception of water use and its relationship with health. The research was developed with the students of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas - IFAM Campus Tefé. The initial project for esa wthat there search would be carried out within the physical scope of IFAM- Campus Tefé, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure the safety of all involved, there search activities were carried out remotely. It is clear that the subject shave knowledge about the environment, especiallywithregardtocurrentproblemssuch as waterscarcity, amongothers, however, the contextualization of the theme still does not seem to be something practiced by it. For the subjects, the planet is some how being degraded. As for the planet's water, for most it is a finite resource, which needs to be preserve dandkept, however, the attitudes of preservation and conservation of the planet are restricted tono tthrowing garbage in the environment.
