Correlação de traços de personalidade, funções executivas e sintomas depressivos em jovens adultos

Resumo

The relationship between personality, executive functions and depressive symptoms is the object of study of several scientific works. They have demonstrated not only the existence of this relationship, but also its importance in what concerns a better understanding of the motivations of our behaviors and the influences of our mental health. This type of study may open doors for the development of interventions that may focus on cognitive training as the basis for the treatment of personality disorders, depressive disorder, and other behavioral disorders. Within this reality, the present study evaluated the correlations between personality traits, executive functions, and depressive symptoms in 40 volunteers from the city of Manaus - AM. The tests used in this research will be the Factorial Personality Battery (FPB), the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) for the evaluation of executive functions, and the Beck Depression Inventory - I (BDI-I). All of each were chosen for their references in the academic environment regarding the reliability and validity of the evaluated constructs. The data was run in the SPSS program, and through non-parametric analyzes, the results found important correlations between the factor Neuroticism, Socialization, Achievement and depressive symptoms. As well as correlations between Neuroticism and its subfactors with executive functions evaluated by WCST indexes.
