Estudo e caracterização de matérias-primas para o desenvolvimento de tijolo solo-cimento a partir do aproveitamento do resíduo agroindustrial do caroço de açaí

Resumo

The objective of this research is to analyze the properties of a brick made of soil- cement with the addition of residues of açaí fruit kernels from the local agroindustry. Initially, agro-industrial waste from fairs in the city was collected and washed, dried in an oven, cleaned of impurities and ground in a knife mill. Subsequently, two samples of soils from Manaus were collected to carry out laboratory analysis to define which sample presents the best result for making the bodies of evidence. After the granulometric analysis by sieving and consistency limits of the samples, the ideal sample for the manufacture of bricks was selected. Then, the characterization by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and study to determine the most adequate trace was progressed. Five mixtures were prepared with addition of residues, 1%, 3%, 5%, 7% and 10% in addition to a standard mixture without addition of residues for comparison. For each mixture, 19 specimens will be made, totaling 95 units, with dimensional analysis, water absorption and resistance tests carried out at different age periods. The results showed that it is possible to make soil-cement bricks with the addition of açaí stone particles. The dimensional analysis was satisfactory since there was no variation of more than 1mm for all mixtures. The results of water absorption in the 1%, 3%, 5% and 7% mixes were satisfactory while the specimens with 10% of residue additions absorbed more than 20% of water. The results of compressive strength at all ages were satisfactory for the 1%, 3%, 5%, 7% mixes, except for the mix with 10% residues.
