A língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) no processo de inclusão e escolarização de surdos em escolas estaduais no município de Humaitá-AM

Resumo

The school education of Deaf students is a great challenge, both for students and for teachers, as both face numerous obstacles to effective teaching and learning processes. Deaf students already face difficulties in entering and later in remaining in regular school due to the lack of support they need, such as professional interpreters, guidance and training for school professionals. However, the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) needs to be worked on within schools, contemplating this communication between Deaf and hearing people, not only between Deaf people and interpreters, above all with the entire school community, it is the inclusion that is effective with this action, it is the accessibility that we so desire. In this way, the research entitled “The Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) in the process of inclusion and schooling of Deaf students in state schools in the municipality of Humaitá-AM” sought to investigate how this process of schooling and inclusion of Deaf students occurs in this municipality, specifically, in the State Schools: Patronato Maria Auxiliadora, Álvaro Maia and Plínio Ramos Coelho, located in the seat of the municipality of Humaitá-AM, what are the challenges that educators have faced in the realization of a quality education for all? Therefore, we organize it in a very simple way, with the Introduction showing how the research will be outlined, Section 2. Inclusive Education: A teaching perspective addressing the historicity of Inclusive Education in Brazil, Amazonas and Humaitá where the research is carried out, Section 3. Teacher training weaving some criteria for this training, Section 4. Methodological path showing the steps of the investigation, Section 5. Libras as an instrument in the process of inclusion of Deaf students in the municipality of Humaitá-AM, and finally the Final considerations presenting the results obtained and our position on the theme followed by the references that supported this research.
