Resumo
This research has the purpose to study the presence of black women in hierarchical
positions of the Municipal Education of Manaus, subject little explored in the social
sciences and now comes with great potential for analysis. The purpose of this study is to
verify the way in which black women step into the positions of power in the Municipal
Education of Manaus, highlighting both the appearance of prejudice faced by them in
the work, the competence they demonstrate in exercise their functions. We seek also
examined how establishes the conceptual intersection between gender and race in the
feminist movement at the same time seek to point the feminization of the situation
mastership. We treat, finally, to establish the profile of black women take hierarchical
positions in SEMED / Manaus, punctuating working hours and support networks with
whom they leave their children while working outside the home. The study was
conducted based on the contribution of qualitative approaches, without excluding
aspects quantitative. among the multiple aspects revealed it was found that racism still
latent in the workspace of black women and black women often own is not perceived as
a subject hit by racism. those women find it difficult to self-declare black or black,
prefer to use other terms to hide herself race. found also, they are in subordinate
positions and do not disclose the symbolic violence suffered in the workplace, which we
can assume to be a feature of non-recognition of own ethnic. should condition to
recognize, finally, the fact that there is a veiled racism that propels their own black
women don't to recognize their ethnicity in the hierarchical position of performance in
Manaus-City-Department-of-Education.
