Resumo

The study of Geography allows to make a world reading, but for this it needs a curriculum that shows the world to the child understand it and to place itself in it as an expert and reader citizen of its reality. This dissertation looks for to analyze the curriculum of the fertile valley school and the education of Geography, in the attempt to provide to the subjects of the research, the laypeople and professionals of Geography a discussion on the existing resume (official) and what it could exist (ideal) in the conduction of education in the fertile valley school. For in such a way, it opens the discussion starting from the basic theoretical fundamental elements: a small historical about the resume and its theories; the school concept and the socialspace changes; the proposal of the National Curricular Parameters and the curricular proposal adopted in the fertile valley school for after that contextualizes the research object describing the physics, social and economic geographic elements of Parintins city, as a possibility of curricular content beyond also pointing the school as a space to be perceived, conceived since it is lived allowing to the students the understanding of the meaning of the education of Geography. In this perspective, it s given to the subjects of the research the chance to speak being the first voice of the City department of Education which demonstrates the changes to be done in the curriculum so that the teacher as the pupil know the place where thus live and to be able to verify how and what is being taught about Geography and from the results of the developed activities with the pupils of fifth degree of the Municipal School Peter Reis Ferreira of Parintins city. This way, there s necessity of change of the curricular proposal for that opportune the strengthening of the student identity feeling of the fertile valley school and also the part of the understanding of its place of life.
