Subnotificações de acidentes ofídicos em indígenas do município de São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas

Abstract

This work aims to highlight, through collected and analyzed data, the total number of underreporting of Snakebites (AO) existing in the territory of Alto Rio Negro, in the Municipality of São Gabriel da Cachoeira. For this analysis, 02 (two) health databases were used, namely: the database of the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) of the Municipal Health Department (SEMSA) of São Gabriel da Cachoeira, which is the official system of the Ministry of Health, used to insert notifications and health planning and to define interventions based on data and evaluate their impact. Another database analyzed was the Indigenous Health Care Information System (SIASI) of the Special Indigenous Health District of Alto Rio Negro and the questionnaire named SURVEY that was applied during the research and brought the record of a historical series on accidents snakebites in the region and presented sensitive data on the cultural context and the importance of indigenous medicine in the region. In the first part of this work, information will be presented on the conceptual part, adequate case management and data regarding the national context of Snakebites (AO) in Brazil, Amazonas and the Upper Rio Negro. To better understand this differentiated idea, the therapeutic itinerary of the regions with the highest incidence of cases in the Alto Rio Negro region will be presented. The relevance of this study is justified, based on the results found from the data presented, notes and recommendations made based on the information that was cross-referenced.
