Para além dos muros: uma abordagem antropológica sobre graffitis femininos na cidade de Manaus

Abstract

This work is based on an ethnography and participant observation of groups of women's graffiti and/or "pixadoras" in Manaus, held between March 2017 and January 2019 and a women's event held in August 2018. It is an anthropological study on the multiplicity of practices adopted by practitioners of graffiti, the networks of support and protagonism among women within the hip hop movement and their logics of intervention and appropriation of the city, resignification and disputes of spaces, conflicts, artistic manifestation/professional and gender tensions. This work contributes to the understanding and legitimation of the graffitis made by women in the city of Manaus through a wide and sensitive view of the plurality of experiences and visions about the practice, the urban space and the art.
