Blitzkrieg bolsonarista: uma análise foucaultiana da ascensão da necropolítica no Brasil

Resumo

This study raises reflections on the current Brazilian political and social scenario from the perspective of the postulates of Michel Foucault, in these terms, it discusses the Foucaultian conceptions of power relationship, constitution of subject, biopower and biopolitics, to investigate the Bolsonarist practices and discourses aligned with the idea of necropolitics. In this way, both discourses and bolsonarist political actions are analyzed in order to highlight the practices of fake news, hate speech and post-truth in the Bolsonaro discursive apparatus. It is also evaluated in this analytical track the rise of the extreme right, fascism, neo-Nazi evocations and religion linked to Bolsonaro politics, which are presented as neo-pharisaism. The theoretical-methodological contribution was developed from the works of Michel Foucault. The corpus of research consists in journalistic clippings aired in the main electronic newspapers of the country, in the Lives of the president’s channel on YouTube and their social networks, in the period from 2018 to 2022. The corpus comprises both the discourse and the action of the Bolsonarist movement – in which the discursive practices of Jair Bolsonaro, his allies and supporters are analyzed – and the way the government acted during the pandemic period, presenting the necropolitics. The central question of this work is to investigate how the Bolsonarist movement projected and expanded in the Brazilian political scene and what structures of power manifest in this movement.
