Resumo

The high levels of evasion and failure of students subscribed in Teenagers and Adults Education (EJA) system schools, located in Manaus- from 2004 and 2007 were interpreted in this study like a process that denies a public subjective right guaranteed by the Federal Constitution of 1988 and by the National Education Law known as LDB n. 9.394/96.This negation to the full right of Education, exposed in the statistics published annually by teaching institutions, has lead a huge number of teens and adults, out of the right age for regular studies, to the social exclusion, mainly in the poorest regions of Brazil. This comprehension elicited the interest of the author of this project in order to acknowledge more information about the structural elements that surround ad interfere in the teaching and learning process, something that brings as consequence students abandoning their studies or do not obtaining success in their academic development, being tagged , in the end of the school year, like fail. This way, the present qualitative research has started and assumed a bibliographical and documental nature. Its subject is the Teenagers and Adults Education and its investigated objects are the scholar failure and abandon - from 2008 to 2011- in two public Schools located in Manaus/Amazonas, more specifically in the East of the city. The methodological path of this research goes through three chapters: Historical perspectives of Teens and Adults Education as a subject right; School Abandon and failure as permanent problems for the new structure of Young and Adults Education and Young and Adults Education in State public schools of Manaus/Amazonas. It is expected that this study promotes reflection-action-reflection moments about the pedagogical praxis, for more than what laws expose in their theory chart. This way, the right of Education can be offered under social inclusion for all students; no matter they are children, teenagers or adults. For considering that evasion and failure need political and pedagogical intervention and that school inclusion has to be a complete reality.
