Cineclub: reflexões sobre a presença da videodança em uma escola de ensino médio de Manaus

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the contributions of videodance language in the teaching and learning process of arts for a group of first-year high school students. It aimed to relate scenic practice to the intellectual and artistic development of the participants, while reflecting on its significance within the school environment as a tool for socialization. This study also considered its role in shaping critical, participatory, and responsible citizens. The research followed a qualitative and exploratory methodology, involving data collection through direct observation and conversational sessions during the creative process, culminating in a final presentation at Nossa Senhora Aparecida State School. References were drawn from scholars such as Neves (2018), Theotono (2018), Araujo (2019), and Barreto (2005) to explore the intersection of dance and cinema in the context of videodance in basic education. Implementing videodance in the art curriculum may seem straightforward, but art goes beyond expectations, engaging with cognitive and emotional aspects, nurturing creative capacity, and preparing students for their daily lives.
