Resumo
Socio-environmental issues have gained a lot of repercussion in the world scenario due to
the worsening of the environmental and climate crises. In the educational field, it has
demanded from teachers a theoretical and practical deepening on didactic and pedagogical
interdisciplinary methodologies, capable of promoting discussions related to socioenvironmental issues at school. In this sense, this study aimed to build an Educational
Product to assist the pedagogical practice of elementary school teachers regarding the
conservation and sustainable use of water resources from the approach of complex and
interdisciplinary thinking. The dialogical method and the complexity paradigm were used in
the development of the research, in a qualitative approach, as a case study, using document
analysis, interviews, and educational workshops. The results indicated that the research
participants recognize the aspects that interfere with the teaching practices and the
objectives set for the development of these practices, hindering the approach of socioenvironmental issues, especially those related to the conservation and rational use of water.
They corroborated the idea that interdisciplinary pedagogical practice contributes to
overcoming the disciplinary and fragmented vision of the educational process. And finally,
they recognized that the change demands commitment from the whole group in order to
implement Ecopedagogy at school. From this perspective, the Educational Product -
Teaching Guide: The construction of an Ecopedagogy for the rational and sustainable use of
water resources, presents itself as a pedagogical tool to support interdisciplinary teaching
practices that aim to promote Environmental Sciences and the critical and integral formation
of students from Elementary School II, and can be applied, improved and replicated in
various grades of Basic Education.
