Resumo
This work aims to enhance regional musical culture by teaching choral singing in a full-time public high school. The specific objectives include promoting the study, research and practice of regional music, especially the four tales by Waldemar Henrique, composer from the state of Pará. The aim is to stimulate reflection, interaction with the environment and a research attitude among the participants, as well as deepening the knowledge of the Coral Uirapuru and its trajectory. The choir is positioned as a tool to promote solid interaction and offer emotional support, going beyond the simple practice of singing together. It highlights the relevance of the Coral Uirapuru and the work of Waldemar Henrique as significant cultural initiatives, contributing to the social integration and personal development of the participants. The project addresses the challenge of awakening students' interest in local musical culture, using innovative strategies to value Amazonian cultural diversity, such as the digital presentation of Waldemar Henrique's legends in a scenic choir format, which seeks to preserve and connect cultural traditions with contemporary times.
