Resumo
Starch-based coating films have been used in food preservation to reduce solid waste accumulation and minimize pollution. Biofilms efficiency could be improved through incorporation of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). Therefore, the aim of this research was to extract starch from Dioscoreaalataand Dioscoreaaltissimato develop polymeric films incorporated with biogenic silver nanoparticules for coating and preserving fresh foods. Starch were characterized for yield, morphology and grain size, physicochemical composition, technological properties, in vitro toxicity and microbiological analysis. In starch films, preparation glycerol was used as plastic and they were characterized through visual analysis and MEV, AFM, DRX, FTIR. Promising starch was selected for production of coating films incorporated with colloidal AgNPs solution stored in the DPUA/UFAM Cultures Collection Nanoparticle Bank. Analysis of technological properties and antimicrobial activity of films had been carried. Application of films were made by immersion in camu-camu [Myrciaria dubia (Kunth) McVaugh] in the filmogenic solution, followed by physicochemical analysis, weight loss and residual silver determination analysis. D. alata and D. altissima starch are non-toxic, have promising yield and functional and technological properties used for packaging industry. D. alata starch coating films showed high rough ness than D.altissima, which was selected for production of AgNPs covered by coating films, and characterization of starch films added with AgNPs has shown suitable for use in packaging and food preservation industry. Coating fruits with films incorporated with AgNPs delayed ripening and has retained their nutritional value.
