Desenvolvimento, implementação e avaliação do Programa de Educação Preventiva Primária Contra Abuso Sexual Infantil (PEPPASI) : educação que transforma

Resumo

This study seeks to identify protective psychosocial processes in a primary preventive intervention against child sexual abuse (CSA), aimed at children in the Amazon who are in situations of social vulnerability, aged between eight and twelve years. The choice of the Amazon, with its cultural and socioeconomic specificities, highlights the importance of interventions that consider the singularities of this region, marked by challenges in accessing protection services and the vulnerability of riverside and indigenous populations. The work integrates an interdisciplinary approach that explores the role of the community, support networks, and the empowerment of the children themselves in promoting citizenship and human rights. The intervention was carried out within the scope of the Maria Jiquitaia Extension Project, in collaboration with undergraduate psychology students from the Federal University of Amazonas. The study was structured into two articles. The first article presents an integrative review of primary preventive practices aimed at children, based on experiences that guide the construction of intervention programs adapted to local specificities. The second article details the implementation of PEPPASI, focusing on the methodological process and the evaluation of the program's effectiveness. The results indicate that PEPPASI is an effective tool for empowering children in situations of social vulnerability. After the intervention, the children demonstrated a greater ability to identify and differentiate abusive situations, as well as a significant increase in self-protective behaviors, showing the impact of strategies that strengthen children within their own Amazonian realities.
