Resumo

With the growth of online video platforms and the popularization of video culture, the number of content creator users increases every day, so that, in small video production environments, teams reduced or composed by a single person, present an inexperienced profile in this activity. Thus, among the various specificities of the material produced, the issue of sound tends to be underestimated, with difficulties in terms of selection and use of music video on video, impairing the meaning of the message to be conveyed and the understanding of the content. Given this scenario, the objective of this research is to develop a guide that helps the process of selection and use of music tracks, in order to enhance the audiovisual message, focusing on video editors who are lay in the music area, adopting the relationship between music and scene proposed by Gorbman (1987) and the relationship between emotions, musical characteristics and synesthetic description of sensations by Juslin and Laukka (2004), Sonnenschein (2001) and Bragança (2010). For the study, which is characterized as applied research, with a qualitative approach, exploratory in terms of objectives and bibliographical in terms of methods, we adopted semi-structured interview techniques, with snowball sampling, indirect documentation, and an activity of music listening and classification. For the phase of development of the coherent digital solution, we used the methodologies of the Core Competencies of Information Design, by Peter Simlinger (2007) and Project E: Design Methodology for the Development of Digital-Virtual Products by Meurer and Szabluk (2010). As main results, we present a portrait of the needs and profile of the target audience; the classification of a group of musical tracks and their main characteristics according to the relationship between emotions, musical characteristics and description of sensations; and the digital tool in the form of the website called Motif, with content on the use of music tracks in audiovisual material, according to emotions, musical characteristics, sensations, influence of the soundtrack, video editing based on the track, and a search tool for music tracks, according to the listed concepts.
