Fishing is an activity very old in the Amazon. Currently this activity is facing social conflicts arising from increased demand and short supply of fish. Conflicts between different actors affect the supply chain and cause imbalance in the social organization of production. These are the reasons that sparked the interest in studying this topic; since fish production occurs in an area with common property regimes, set in a conservation unit where prevailing environmental protection laws, so it is appropriate to study it in more depth. The objective of this study is to express, under economic and institutional perspectives, the problems of sustainable social production of fishing that involves the communities that inhabit the lakes of Macuricanä complex, located in the city of Parintins, Amazonas state. The specific plan aims to: Explain the reasons of social conflicts due to overfishing of species of fish; and emphasize the performance of community organizations in the process of regulating the use of fisheries resources. The theoretical underpinnings guided the concepts of social conflicts, institutional economics, property rights, in addition to sustainable production from the perspective of neoclassical economics. The conflicts were organized according to the methodology proposed typologies of Bennet et al (2000) using five categories and measurements for the analysis of cooperatives and associations. The data for analysis were collected by the research group Social Technologies, coordinated by Professor Antoinette Vieira lake, Faculty of Technology Ufam. The results showed that a conflict stands out among the rest is confrontation "and managers of community associations" by the use of the common good. This has created mistrust between the community, the allegations of fraud and corruption that has so compromised the performance and progress of work in the communities that attempt to organize the fishing production. We conclude that the management and participatory management of lakes Complex Macuricanä have been the first steps, as well as the construction of a political mentality by community facing what is relevant in the local development of the productive chain of the fish, but still lack too.
