Construindo discursos e identidade: análise de músicas e da performance de Djuena Tikuna

Abstract

Music as a language is, according to Snyeders, more directly moving than the language itself. Therefore, this study aims to unite reflections on identity construction through discourse and discursive performance through songs and presentations by the indigenous artist Djuena Tikuna. For our analysis, we will highlight the CD Tchautchiüãne as an object of investigation, presentations inside and outside the State, including outside the country, in addition to some interviews. From them, we will build reflections on music as a political manifestation, alongside the identity reaffirmation that comes from the speech in the lyrics and their performances. Therefore, we will start from the ideas of identity starting from Hall (2000), dialoguing with Bakhtin (2006) through the discourse, extending his reflections to the concept of performance guided by Bauman (2011), in addition to other authors who contribute to our analyze.
