Resumo
The universe of the riverside peacock allows the contemplation of all the beauty that nature can provide, its grandeur invites us to navigate in its rivers to the enchantment and the reverie that spreads in the great mysteries that surround it. For the riverbank the river brings together an enormous universe of meanings of legends, beliefs and supernatural beings. The imaginary of the daydreams of the riverbed and the forest, where the winds shake the trees that are reflected in the mirror of the waters It is in this relationship of complicity with the waters that the riverbank meets the intimacy of the secrets and dangers that it offers. Constant contact with nature produces a rich imaginary that leans over reverie and contemplation. The forest and the river represent the symbolic field of the riverside imaginary composing its social organization. The river paths are adorned by the forest that together build a magical world where enchanted beings inhabit. This research study the oral narratives of the boto that are told by the residents of the Community of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of the Coast of the Eagle, appropriating these narratives to investigate the Amazonian imagery of the man from the Parintins floodplain through the narratives of Boto, Community of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of the Coast of the Eagle, and how these imaginary narratives influence in the daily life of the inhabitants, configuring the rhythm of life of the rural communities formed on the banks of the Amazon River, constituting the base of the cultural patrimony of the place. It is necessary to verify how the human groups inhabiting the Parintins-AM floodplains are influenced by the imaginary narratives lived in the context of the river and the forest and through them they give meaning to their experiences, starting from the relations and experiences lived with Nature in everyday life. The research is developed with the qualitative approach. The qualitative approach works with the universe of meanings, motives, aspirations, beliefs, values and attitudes, which corresponds to a deeper space of relationships, processes and phenomena that can not be reduced to the operationalization of variables. Minayo (2001). The methodology used was oral history. According to Thompson (1992, p.72) “oral history as a method arises according to alternatives that privilege the interviews as special attention of the studies. It is a question of centralizing the testimonies as a fundamental, privileged, basic point of analysis”. The material was collected through recordings and field notes. The chosen place was the Community of the Sacred Heart of the Coast of the Eagle, region of várzea, located to the right margin of the Municipality of Parintins. The community is currently constituted by one hundred and thirty-eight residents, distributed in thirty-eight families. The chosen subjects were residents of the community of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of the Coast of the Eagle, those who accepted to participate in the research in a total of twenty five collaborators, but only sixteen were analyzed. The data collected were transcribed, and discussed with authors who base the research. The data collection presented two narratives that circulate in the community: the one of the boto and the one of the great snake. These two elements are a daily part of the imagination of the community of the Coast of Water. The results obtained by the research confirmed our problematic that was to investigate the imagery of the Parintina floodplain through the imaginary narratives of the boto and how these narratives influence the daily life of the residents, the accurate reading of the narratives offered us the answer of our investigation, the narratives of the boto orientam And organize the daily life of the community that unfolds so that the boto is not disrespected by women during the menstrual period, around this fact the residents change the routine to give assistance to the woman in need.
