A geograficidade dos habitantes do rio Cuieiras: percepções de um mundo vivido

Abstract

In the vicinity of urban space in the city of Manaus-AM, enrolls a significant number of riverain communities and indigenous, it reveals also a rich and complex socio-cultural reality and specific forms of relationship with nature. This research aimed principally at understanding the dynamics of life for inhabitants of riverain communities bordering the river Cuieiras, rural area in Manaus, from their socio-cultural relations, environmental and emotional with the place. The starting point for the unveiling of the world lived for the inhabitants of the river Cuieiras was the phenomenological view, the discussion in the Geography supported by the cultural humanistic current that has among its goals to interrogate the subject regarding how it builds its world view and sets out specific ways of relationship with nature from the world experienced and lived every day, key elements for the construction of geograficities of being and, on another scale, by all social groups, understand the different ways of living in each place in an existential meaning. In this meaning, we prioritize the perceptions and experiences of these inhabitants as true at first about the place. Regarding the results, we highlight the stories, the socio-cultural and environmental dynamics of the inhabitants of the riverain communities of the river Cuieiras that reveals specific ways of inhabit the place in its autonomy, creativity, diversity and complexity. This is a whole set of knowledge and acquisition of affective values, built over the time, about the place which is reflected in geograficity, should be taken into account by social and environmental policies, aiming at achievement of a balance between conservation of nature and the right to inhabit for the inhabitants of riverain communities and indigenous of river Cuieiras.
