Resumo
The search to establish a balanced development model that takes into account the
satisfaction of human needs without, however, the commitment of environmental
heritage is a constant debate among nations. Faced with this challenge, several
alternatives for achieving a sustainable society are presented. In this perspective,
Education for Sustainable Development – ESD occupies a prominent role in order to
prepare young people professionally for their insertion within this new reality. The
present work proposes to analyze the insertion of sustainable development in the
integrated technical training in administration within the scope of IFAM. The adopted
methodology refers to a case study and the results found indicate that there are some
contents in the PPCT favorable to the promotion of Sustainable Development - SD.
However, gaps were identified that suggest the need for greater depth in relation to the
subject. In this way, a proposal emerges as a proposal to contribute to the offer of a
more solid formation for the achievement of sustainability, a protocol consisting of four
actions that advocate: the need for training for teachers, the restructuring of the
discipline, the approach of contents from the perspective of the DS, and the
modification of the curricular matrix integration area.
