Análise da divulgação da produção científica do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Biotecnologia da UFAM

Abstract

Biotechnology sets itself as one of the most promising areas, in social and economical terms, in modern times, with applicability in many sectors of society, such as health, agricultural, environmental and industrial, revealing itself as a science that on each passing day provides innovative discoveries with the techniques of genetic enhancement/improvement, cloning, brewing, cultivation of tissues and cells, amongst others, however, there's no clear understanding by the society regarding the biotechnological process and the research developed on this scientific field. Being the federal universities some of the main proposers of the building and formation of the scientific knowledge in the Country, in this field of knowledge, highlighting the post graduation programs, it becomes imperative/imperious to make public what is being produced. This set of factors meet the focus of this work, that intends to know the scientific divulgation process of the Programa Multi-institucional de Pós-Graduação em Biotecnologia da Universidade Federal do Amazonas to spread and divulge what is being researched by maters and doctors to their peers, to the university community and to the public in general. For the accomplishment of the intended goals, it shall be applied bibliographic research, documentary research and case studies, utilising as a collection technique semistructured interviews and application of surveys, with data analysis of the quantitative and qualitative kinds, allowing the construction of a situational diagnosis of the Program to elucidate possible hindrances on the relations with the people of interest, identifying communication channels for diffusion of the scientific production used and the imposed barriers of communication and determine the best ways to actualize the communication process.
