Teste de progênies na cultura do guaranazeiro Paullinia cupana Kunth var. sorbilis (Mart.) Ducke no Estado do Amazonas

Abstract

The culture of guarana Paullinia cupana var. sorbilis (Mart.) Ducke in the State of Amazonas is an important source of employment and income generation in the primary sector, industry, trade and bioeconomy. It is a species of great agronomic and the agroecological interest, which stands out for its economic, social, environmental importance, being cultivated in the Brazilian Amazon due to its medicinal, energetic and stimulant properties. This work aimed to study the genetic variability, estimate genetic and phenotypic parameters, predict genetic values and estimate variance components for fruit production in progenies of half sib of guarana an experiment conducted in Manaus, Amazonas. Six half sib progenies were evaluated in a randomized complete block design with three repetitions and eight plants per plot for the character fruit production (g.plant-1) in two crops. Variance components, parameters genetic and phenotypic values were estimated by REML/BLUP procedure. The highest additive genetic effects and values for selection of individuals were from the progenies P207 and P305. The average fruit yield of the best progeny (P207) was 24,925 g.plant-1. The best progenies that stood out regarding stability and adaptability of genetic values with the highest MHPRVG value were progenies P305, followed by progenies P64, P382, and P207.
