Resumo

This work proposes to understand the relationship between the Yanomamɨ of the Marauiá river and the napë institutions from the political field, in which two important dynamics stand out: a) the relationships between the Yanomami themselves, the autonomy of the xapono , the alliances and conflicts that occur between them and b) the political performance of the different napë institutions that depend on interethnic contexts. To this end, I propose an ethnographic work focused on the historical and political dynamics of this relationship, based on reports of experiences lived by the interlocutors, Yanomamɨ who occupy “leadership” positions within the scope of the Yanomami Kurikama Association or “teaching” positions in the schools of the xapono of the Marauiá river region and also in the bibliographical survey of the broader ethnography of the Yanomami people to highlight the idiosyncrasy of the relationships between the Yanomamɨ and the institutions of the napë. Such practices and actions of the different institutions have been perceived and differentiated by the Yanomamɨ, who create their own mechanisms to relate to each one of them.
