Resumo

his research aims to: understand the pedagogical practices and work as an educational principle in a school in the countryside of Parintins/AM and its impacts on the knowledge construction process. It was broken down into the following specific objectives: to carry out a study on Rural Education in Brazil, contextualize Rural Education in the Municipality of Parintins-AM, identify the challenges facing teachers in incorporating work as an educational principle in their pedagogical practices.The restlessness consisted with the problem, the pedagogical practices and work as an educational principle being developed in a school in the countryside of Parintins/AM? The research was carried out in two floodplain schools, in the core school Washigton Luiz Teixeira which is located in the community São Sebastião do Boto and in the annexed school Santa Rita which, during the research, it was necessary to research in both for better understanding and analysis of the data. The methodological course of the research was quali-quantitative, dialectical approach, participant observation, semi-structured interview, questionnaire, conversation wheels, photographic records and at the end of the research we carried out an artistic activity in the surveyed groups. The subjects involved are 10, including leaders of social movements, teachers, workers and students' parents. The results of this research are significant for professionals in the educational area, especially for those who work in the countryside, as it made us reflect on the appreciation of teacher training and especially the implementation of public policies in rural schools so that they can have a decent education. and quality, articulating with traditional and scientific knowledge.
