Juventude e Trabalho: um olhar sobre os cursos técnicos na empregabilidade dos jovens no município de Parintins

Abstract

This work was motivated from concerns regarding the employability of young people in the city of Parintins, from discussions around the capital's structural crisis that affects a broad restructuring of labor and production, combined with significant efforts to redesign of mediation of class conflict, which implies changes in the role of the State, logo, new requirements for entering the job market. Thus, this research aims to analyze the impacts of Technical Vocational Courses employability of young people / students in the city of Parintins, and therefore the relevant professional education in this study as a theoretical proposal for discussions around public policies for youth in dealing with employability as imposing the new requirements. The survey also aimed to identify the inclusion of youth with vocational technical courses in the formal or informal market and identify the suitability of these youth employability in relation to vocational technical course that were trained. It is a qualitative analysis of an explanatory nature that, in terms of methodological procedures, fall within the category of the survey on the dynamics of the labor market for young people in the city of Parintins and its insertion in the local market. Participated in this study 62 (sixty two) young qualified by the Institutions of Professional Education (Instituto Federal do Amazonas / IFAM; Technological Education Center of the Amazon / Cetam; National Commercial Training Service / Senac) that the inclusion and exclusion criteria were considered only the youth entered in the local labor market. Data were collected through semi-structured questionnaires with direct contact with respondents, systematic observation for two (2) days in Institutions of Professional Education which provided access to documents of the young graduates and allowed their location. The survey results showed the importance of vocational technical education to the youth in the city of Parintins, regarding the facilities for entering the local market when qualified. However, the challenges are absorbing most of these skilled in the fields of youth work, because networks of employability are still restricted to local sponsorships, which do not take into consideration the qualification and tendenciam young people in entering the informal labor or occupy positions that do not match his qualifications, covering therefore, from the perspective of job insecurity as a non-professional valuation of these young people.
