Práxis educacional para redução da pegada hídrica: Promovendo o uso sustentável dos recursos hídricos em escolas do ensino básico

Resumo

Water scarcity is a global issue that has consistently been a subject of political, media, environmental, economic, and social debates over the past decades. Its consequences deeply affect communities and human rights, particularly about a dignified existence and life itself. This phenomenon is generally divided into two categories: physical scarcity, where there is a lack of water due to local ecological conditions, and economic scarcity, resulting from inadequate water infrastructure. Given this context, the aim of this study was to develop a technical educational product that addressed the concept of the water footprint, with the aim of improving learning and promoting awareness of the sustainable use of water resources, especially in the field of environmental sciences. The development of this product followed the case study method, with the application of participant research activities. The technical product developed includes a roadmap of activities aimed at more dynamic and challenging educational actions, encouraging curiosity and the exploration of knowledge related to water resources. In addition, it seeks to reframe the methodologies applied during Water Week in primary schools, providing a more interactive and engaging approach to the subject.
