Abstract

Geography as a science, aims to study the geographic space and the relationships established in it, the perception and understanding of the interactions between the natural environment and Man has a fundamental role in obtaining knowledge and applying it in the adequacy of the quality of life in relation to the environment. environment we occupy. In this sense, the proposed work is based on the investigation of problems related to the dynamics of river banks, where the subject to be studied is relevant in knowing and presenting information about river processes and their different implications in the perimeters or port areas of three municipalities that are part of the channel of the Upper Solimões river, these places being strictly the ports that are located in the following municipalities: São Paulo de Olivença-AM/ Amaturá-AM/ Santo Antônio do Içá-AM. Taking into account that the investigation takes place in port areas, it is of notable importance to conceptualize what a “port area” is in the Amazonian context for the present study: following this way of reasoning, the port areas mentioned configure the entire marginal perimeter that is used by the citizens for mooring canoes, speedboats, medium and large boats, where their due logistical processes run, this in terms of (boarding, unloading of cargo and passengers). Following this logic, in the channel of the Solimões River, as well as in other rivers of the Amazon hydrographic basin, the incidence of phenomena that occur in remote areas (rural areas) of the municipalities, and other events reach inhabited areas (urban perimeter), in sight In addition, it was considered to promote an analysis based on a subdivision of geomorphology, called (urban geomorphology). In the case of the study carried out, it was conceived in a fluvial scope, so the author brings nomenclature (urban fluvial geomorphology) conceptualizing fluvial geomorphological events in urban areas on the upper Solimões river, processes and implications that cause inconvenience to residents in the municipal headquarters, phenomena these dealing with erosion processes, deposition of sediments and flooding. As an important part of the proposed work, it was denoted that consequently these fluvial processes make a morphological transformation exist that acts triggering social, economic and even emotional disorders to the populations installed in these localities. As a result of the information gathered, it can be inferred that for there to be constructions and possible revitalization works in the port areas of the municipalities, it is necessary to have studies characteristic of these problems, bringing proposals to investigate the fluvial processes, to understand them, and through this knowledge to offer technical assistance in the process of occupying and assimilating the space, and in some way helping to improve the port logistics process in relation to these implications.
