Análise da ocorrência do bullying no contexto escolar de Parintins/Amazonas

Resumo

Bullying at school is today one of the subject that has attracted increasing interest from professionals in education and health worldwide. It is a worldwide problem that happens in all schools, which has been disseminated widely in recent years and have been studied only recently in our country. Characterized as a form of causeless violence in which the victim is repeatedly exposed to a lot of abuse, causing anguish and suffering. In Brazil, the approach of scientific investigations looking for better understand about the phenomenon is still incipient. Thus, studies addressing this issue are extremely important as a way to contribute more consistently with better understanding about the diagnosis and prevention of the phenomenon. This research aimed to examine the occurrence of the phenomenon bullying among elementary school students in a public school in the city of Parintins / Amazon. We recruited 300 students, of both sexes, regularly registered in 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade of elementary school. Data collection was done through QIMEI - Questionnaire on intimidation and mistreatment between equals - high school students with a set of closed questions (n = 35). Data were analyzed with the support of SPSS version 20. Considering the psychometric properties of the instrument with the sample. It was found that a significant portion of the 138 students (46%) had experienced bullying at some time, from their own peers at school. For authors (36%), the reasons that led them to mistreat colleagues were provocations received from them. Another relevant factor is the location of the highest incidence of the reports of bullying that was the classroom, in the absence (39%) and in the presence of the teacher (30%). It was concluded that bullying is a phenomenon present in elementary school in the city of Parintins / Amazonas, stated as a universal phenomenon present in any school.
