Lendas amazônicas: representação da imaginação simbólica narrada pelos alunos da Escola Municipal Carolina Perolina Raimunda Almeida, Manaus-AM

Resumo

This research investigates the imaginary produced by Amazonian legends and the peculiar aspects related to the forest, cities, enchantments, and riverine customs. From a theoretical and identity perspective, the debate is linked to symbolic traits that form Amazonian identity, preserving traditions and knowledge. Based on this thinking, the research focuses on the millennial relationships and the Amazonian individual in the context of basic education, allowing an immersion in the culture of the imaginary so that the act of narrating becomes representative for its people and future generations. This aligns with Paul Ricœur’s thought, emphasizing that symbols are ressignified by humans, and this possibility allows individuals to access knowledge that enriches the way they observe everything around them. The investigation of legends began in the classroom by observing their peculiar aspects in the school life. Thus, the general objective of the research was to investigate elements of the symbolic imaginary based on the narration by students of the Escola Carolina Perolina Raimunda Almeida using Amazonian legend, given that the region is reconstructed through elements of enchantments. The results discussed here indicate that the imaginary is the guiding thread in the maintenance of cultural elements, as through aesthetic imaging practice, the riverine and/or their descendants recreate their identity and find explanations that value the context surrounding them. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted with students as participants, in addition to a bibliographic survey, aiming to weave a dialogue between the classroom and the imaginary, whose function is to unveil knowledge and wisdom through legendary narrative. It is noted that associating the genre of legend produced in the classroom with the students' daily experiences and symbolic imaginary allows us to understand, in a deepened manner, the Amazonian culture and other pluralities present in the daily context of the Amazonian. Thus, it is emphasized that attending to human complexities involves studying them in relation to symbolic elements that assist in understanding the condition of individuals and the multiple allegories, including origins, cultures, and the centralities of individuals.
