Resumo

The improvement of working quality has been discussed on last fifty years by several thinkers as one of the reasons for personal, professional, and social individual s welfare, and because of this, we can understand the meaning of the improvement on working conditions considering safety, comfort, commitment, and job satisfaction reaching thus worker s maximum efficiency. In the case of the public sector, in terms of Federal Universities, it realizes the latent necessity to study how the welfare and workers valorization are related to the quality of the services developed. In order to validate this relation, it was held this study in order to discuss and analyze the quality of working life and productivity levels in the campuses Manaus IFAM s servers, aiming for alternatives that can stimulate an increasing performance, interaction among coworkers and commitment on achievement tasks. It was conducted a quantitative, qualitative, documentary, and, inductive research according to GODOY (1995) and MANNING (1979), applying a questionnaire form to the target audience; diagnosis of phenomena, interpretation of meanings and values. A sample of 100 respondents which covered servers technical-administrative and faculty, the research results revealed a number of conflicts including the factors discussed by Werther and Davis considering aspects such as organizational (management, mechanistic approach, flow and work practices), environment (skills, availability of employees and, social expectations) and, behavioral (autonomy, variety, task identity, and, feedback). Thus, it was possible to identify and understand how these conflicts arise, therefore, it is necessary elaborates an appropriate working life quality program, where its implementation contributes to the enhancement of human and intellectual capital for all inside and outside of the institution
