Quilombos do Andirá: do processo de construção da região do Baixo Amazonas na perspectiva dos viajantes naturalistas à interpretação científica sob a ótica de professores/pesquisadores na contemporaneidade

Abstract

Belonging to the Municipality of Barreirinha-AM, in Lower Amazonas, the Andirá quilombos constitute the object of study of this work. They are Santa Tereza do Matupiri, Ituquara, Boa Fé, São Pedro and Trindade. The research aimed to analyze the historical and educational aspects of these quilombos, taking as a contribution the literature on naturalist travelers; the black movement in Brazil; the orality of social agents and Brazilian legislation, referring to education for ethnic-racial relations. To this end, studies are presented referring to the paths taken by traveling naturalists regarding the formation of the Lower Amazon region, emphasizing the process of social construction of the quilombos of the Andirá river, with the arrival of the first black man, Benedito Rodrigues da Costa, who their arrived. Regarding the educational and cultural daily life of these communities, the investigation took into account the perception of managers of educational entities in the municipality of Barreirinha (SEMED/SEDUC) regarding constitutional rights regarding ethnic-racial relations. Based on these assumptions, the study analyzes how social agents linked to educational policy promote their educational practices in light of the knowledge built in quilombos, whether due to regulatory frameworks, public managers or in line with the investigative collection of researchers who contribute there with the aim of reflecting on this reality discussed through TCCs, Dissertations and Theses. In this regard, oral history constitutes a methodological tool, enabling the understanding of the educational experiences of teachers, course participants and students. Finally, there is a record of a chronology of the struggles and achievements of the Andirá quilombola movement for ethnic rights guaranteed by the 1988 Constitution, with emphasis on Art. 68 of ADCT/CF-1988, whose legal support allowed the issuance of Certificates of Recognition of Quilombos do Andirá in 2013; as well as the signing of Law No. 10. 689 of 2003, which founded the Quilombola School Education Sector in the Municipality of Barreirinha, in May 2020.
