Resumo

The questions related to water conservation have become one of the most discussed topics in recent decades, due to the crisis in water supply. Anthropogenic actions and population increase in urban areas have been identified as some of the main threats to the availability of safe water for human consumption, as they have caused contamination and degradation of rivers and streams. Concern over water degradation has drawn the world's attention to the Amazon, where the world's largest river basin, the Amazon Basin, is located. On a regional scale, the Amazon Basin rivers are relatively free of contamination from both domestic and industrial and agricultural sources. On a regional scale, the Amazon Basin rivers are relatively free of contamination from both domestic, industrial and agricultural sources. However, on a local scale, recurrent contamination of urbanization is important, since in the cities of the northern region of Brazil only 4.5% of the wastewater is treated. It is common for many cities in the Amazon to launch sanitary sewage directly into rivers, without adequate treatment, making evident the need for research and actions that contribute to the conservation of rivers and streams in the region. Faced with these facts, the interest arose in developing this research, seeking to know as urban dwellers, who live on the banks of the largest tributary of the Amazon River. The Solimões, perceive the access, use and conservation of waters on a local scale. The study was carried out using the Case Study, whose study area is the community called Guadalupe, located in the municipality of Tabatinga, state of Amazonas, on the right bank of the Santo Antônio stream and on the left bank of the river Solimões, the largest tributary of the Amazon river. The main objective of the research development was the elaboration of a board game, which can be used as didactic material, in order to promote awareness of the rational use and practice of water conservation among students of basic education and consequently, among the families of the students.
