A Memória e o presente da comunidade do Macurany, em Parintins-AM: análise discursiva

Abstract

This work is based on the theorical perspective of materialistic discourse analysis (AD) and its general aim is to analyse the discourses on narratives about the memory and the present of the Community of Macurany in Parintins-AM and in other texts. And as specific objectives do a historical contextualization of the Community of Macurany for a better understanding of the discursive productions in and about the locality; make explicit the discursive operation of the concept of the Community presents in the narratives and in other texts and understand how these texts produce (or reproduce) discourses on issues where the subjects speak and emplace about the social and environmental changes ocurred in the Community. Persuing such objectives in the development of this dissertation, we accomplished on the first chapter a brief AD presentation, referring to its epistemological bases and talking about Pecheux (2009), Althusser (1974) and others, about the concepts of the language, Ideology, Subject, discourse, discursive training, interdiscourse, production conditions, as they are undesrtood in the Theory of discourse, as well as we mentioned about the procedures for review, the Costitution of the corpus and we presented the text fragment and symptom in AD. Next,on the second chapter, we made considerations on the concept of Community of Macurany in the Amazonian historical context and in the context of the Municipality of Parintins, pointing out the historical aspects pertinent to our purposes, since the colonial period until the current days. We discussed the presence and the influence of the Catholic Church in the locality, thus, with the socialenvironmental transformations suffered by the Community, elapsed, mainly of the urban development of Parintins. On the third chapter, we analized the effects of the sense of significant community presents in the fragment selected for this destination. So, we identify a Christian religious sense, which Community means church, understood as the Community of Christians Communion of Faith, and this discourse silences other possible meanings of community in the conditions it was produced. Other meanings are also observed: the political environmentalist sense which community is understood as a group of those who live in the locality, theyare active and struggle for social and environmental improvements; and the sense of capitalist juridical discourse, that comprehends the Community as political administrative unit of the municipality of Parintins. Finally, on the fourth chapter, we demonstrated the different discourses materialized in the text fragment where the subjects avaluate and take position about the current reality of the community. Then we identified, with greater emphasis, the following discourses: Rural, modernity / progress, environmentalist and the capitalist development.
