Otimização das ferramentas da Administração da Qualidade Total (TQM) e do Just-in-time (JIT) que melhor se aplicam a uma linha de montagem de veículos automotores de duas rodas

Abstract

The current business scenario requires companies to remain highly competitive in the marketplace. Several management strategies have been applied to companies with the aim of maintaining business competitiveness. Among these strategies, we highlight Total Quality Management (TQM) and Just-in-Time (JIT), both have many applications nowadays. The purpose of this study is show that TQM and JIT tools are easy to apply and maintain, and can generate productivity and quality increases in an assembly line of a two-wheeled automotive manufacturing company in the Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM) - Manaus Industrial Complex. Then, studies of these strategies were made, showing the positive points, points to be improved and suggestions of the tools studied, in order to assist in the decision about the tools that needs to be applied to the research assembly line. The expected results of a joint use of the TQM and JIT tools are increases in productivity and quality.
