Ritual da resistência: práticas socioculturais alimentares típicas do povo Miranha, na comunidade Parque das Tribos, em Manaus/AM

Resumo

This research's main scope is eating practices contextualized with the self-affirmation of individuals' belonging to the Miranha indigenous ethnocultural group, specifically those who inhabit the Parque das Tribos Community, in the city of Manaus. The individuals of an ethnic group have their habits transmitted mainly orally and empirically, in their territory, in the midst of nature, where they practice cultivation, hunting and harvesting food, acts that, from this perspective, are tributaries of beliefs, having rituals as developments. The research was based on this premise, through the construction of scientific knowledge through a learning attitude to clarify the new, both in the empirical and theoretical domains. The methodological path was based on the ethnographic approach, discourse analysis, Bardin (1977) and bibliographic review through the selection of authors who study this topic such as Lévi-Strauss (1978) and Victor Turner (1974) to support field research . Thus, based on the narratives collected on site, we present relevant information to infer about the eating practices of these specific Miranha individuals. In addition to sociocultural manifestations, food practices for indigenous peoples are crucial to their survival, both nutritionally and culturally. Taking into account that since prehistoric times there is evidence of the central position that food occupies within all societies, we seek to know how eating practices really influence cultural identity, specifically individuals who claim to belong to the Miranha indigenous ethnic people in the community under study. Our results confirm that the coexistence of traditional food practices in an urban environment is only possible in part, due to external environmental and social factors and other factors demonstrated throughout the text. Many realities converge on the scenario of hunger, which is one of the factors of cultural extinction. The State has all the instruments so that the biggest issue, the invasion of indigenous lands, in which all indigenous problems are inserted, is resolved.
