Situação social, dinâmica territorial e mobilização étnica na comunidade Serra do Truarú (Terra Indígena Serra da Moça, etnoregião Murupú, Boa Vista-RR)

Abstract

This dissertation is an ethnography about a specific ethnic migration that occurred in the indigenous community Serra do Truarú, extending to the indigenous land Serra da Moça, between the years of 2004 and 2009. The research aims to describe, at first, the social situation of the Wapichana and Macuxi groups that inhabited those places, analyzing aspects related to religion, kinship and landscape, among others. At a second moment I present the territorial dynamic, listing historical situations so as to contextualize the conflicts involving the indige-nous land Serra da Moça, allowing for a better understanding of how a violent process forced these indigenous groups out of their lands. I conclude presenting the political organization on a local (community) and regional scale, describing their mobilization.
